I’m an award-winning equine photographer, educator, and co-founder of Cowgirls with Cameras, and I’ve spent more than three decades behind the camera. My work is rooted in the western and equine world, photographing horses, horsewomen, ranch life, events, and commercial imagery while helping other photographers develop both their technical skills and their creative voice.
I’ve also been working with Adobe Photoshop since the days when layers felt revolutionary and removing something from a photograph required considerably more patience than typing a prompt into an AI tool. Over the years, Photoshop has become an integral part of my professional workflow for everything from subtle horse and human retouching to complex object removal, composites, background work, commercial graphics, and preparing finished imagery for print and digital use.
As an educator, I believe photographers learn best by doing. I’m far less interested in teaching you to memorize every tool Photoshop offers than I am in helping you understand how to choose and combine the right tools to solve the problem in front of you. I also know firsthand that Photoshop can be frustrating, intimidating, and occasionally downright infuriating. Learning the software is as much about developing confidence and problem-solving skills as it is learning which button to push.
Through Cowgirls with Cameras, I get to bring together my experience as an equine photographer, professional marketer, educator, and longtime Adobe user to help photographers build practical skills they can put to work in their own photography and businesses.
My goal with this program is simple: I want to help you stop wrestling with Photoshop and develop the skills, confidence, and problem-solving ability to make it a productive partner in your creative process.
All the Important Details
You don’t learn Photoshop by watching someone else use it.
You learn Photoshop by doing.
This program is designed to meet that need. Every instructional session teaches practical skills through a real-world equine photography project. The following week, we come back together and look at what you’ve learned, what you’re struggling with, how that project affected your own work, and answer any questions you may have about the tools and techniques covered in the project at hand. Through eight structured projects, you will master the skills a photographer needs to partner with Photoshop as a tool and a creative powerhouse.
Learn it. Do it. Get help. Build on it.
That’s how Photoshop becomes a skill instead of another collection of videos you watched once.
The investment for this program is $650.
