Horses in the Snow!

Join the Cowgirls with Cameras on a Photographer’s Getaway!

5 Days, 4 Nights | February 26-March 2
C Lazy U, Granby, Colorado

We have been seeking the perfect location for a Winter Retreat for awhile now — and we’ve found it at C Lazy U Ranch in Granby, Colorado. This place is a 5 Star Resort with a spa on site, winter activities, AND A LARGE HERD OF HORSES! Imagine shooting the Jingle in and out every day along with other amazing opportunities for winter equine photography. Oh … and you can bring a non-shooting friend, spouse, or family member at a discounted price. This event is slated to be a top notch experience all the way around!

This is a Cowgirls with Cameras Photography Getaway Experience. Photographers of all levels are welcome as well as non-shooting spouses, friends, and family!

We will shoot the Jingle of 200+ head of horses in and out each day. We will have an opportunity to shoot wranglers with horses saddled, scenics with horses, riders, artistic lighting situations, feed wagon, and more! A warming vehicle will be made available for photographers near the shoot location.

In addition to shooting, this location offers INCLUDED:

• Lodging in Guest Cabins (Single and Double Occupancy)

• Gourmet meals

• Horseback Riding

• Ice Skating & Hockey

• Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoeing

• Sleigh Rides

• Fat Tire Mountain Bikes

• Indoor Arena Games such as archery, hatchet throwing, and bb Gun shooting.

In addtion there is evening entertainment including Old Western Saloon, campfires, and more!

I took part in the recent “Horses in Snow” workshop with Cowgirls with Cameras. It was an amazing experience at a first rate resort! The “Cowgirls” instructors are amazing – helpful and attentive. Although I am not a new photographer – they were able to answer advanced questions and help with composition. The resort was very comfortable and the level of service was like none other I have EVER experienced. The dining experiences – no, they were not meals – were truly first rate!! I got images I will treasure forever, made friends that will last forever and will consider “Corgirls” in my future plans. To point out that I am a man on a “Cowgirls” event – I was made to feel welcome and just another participant – everyone was very friendly and nice. It was the experience I was after – horses in snow are so special to me. If you are a photographer with an interest in fascinating and challenging photography – I would say this is the ticket!!! Happy to include a couple of images from the experience!!!

Cowgirls with Cameras Horses in the Snow Photographer’s Getaway. This retreat was great on so many levels! The Ranch was located in a spectacular setting, especially for photographers, with great accommodations and amazing meals. There were many possibilities to chose from as far as free time, including horseback riding, (my personal favorite), but also skating, sledding, sleigh rides, ice skating and skeet shooting to name a few. The people who work at this ranch are so friendly and go out of their way to make your stay perfect. The 3 amazing photographers who run these workshops and retreats are all very professional, knowledgeable and generous with their knowledge. They all work very hard to help you meet the goals you have set for yourself in your photography and then some, Plus these ladies are just plain fun to hang out with. The only downside to this retreat was that the time went too fast! It was great!
