I took part in the recent “Horses in Snow” workshop with Cowgirls with Cameras. It was an amazing experience at a first rate resort! The “Cowgirls” instructors are amazing – helpful and attentive. Although I am not a new photographer – they were able to answer advanced questions and help with composition. The resort was very comfortable and the level of service was like none other I have EVER experienced. The dining experiences – no, they were not meals – were truly first rate!! I got images I will treasure forever, made friends that will last forever and will consider “Corgirls” in my future plans. To point out that I am a man on a “Cowgirls” event – I was made to feel welcome and just another participant – everyone was very friendly and nice. It was the experience I was after – horses in snow are so special to me. If you are a photographer with an interest in fascinating and challenging photography – I would say this is the ticket!!! Happy to include a couple of images from the experience!!!

Cowgirls with Cameras Horses in the Snow Photographer’s Getaway. This retreat was great on so many levels! The Ranch was located in a spectacular setting, especially for photographers, with great accommodations and amazing meals. There were many possibilities to chose from as far as free time, including horseback riding, (my personal favorite), but also skating, sledding, sleigh rides, ice skating and skeet shooting to name a few. The people who work at this ranch are so friendly and go out of their way to make your stay perfect. The 3 amazing photographers who run these workshops and retreats are all very professional, knowledgeable and generous with their knowledge. They all work very hard to help you meet the goals you have set for yourself in your photography and then some, Plus these ladies are just plain fun to hang out with. The only downside to this retreat was that the time went too fast! It was great!
